I think I'm slowly giving up on LJ. Perhaps it's due to my current love of Twitter. Did you know porn stars use Twitter? SPOILER: They lead boring lives outside of all the on-camera sex. Not worth reading unless you have a fetish for regular ol' people with slightly elevated sex drives and a willingness to do it on film for copious amounts of money.

However, if you enjoy David Gregory (Meet the Press' new host), his Twitter is fuckin' sweet. Between it and the NY Times, I have plenty of reading to do when writer's block hits.

But the main reason I'm diggin' Twitter is because it's one non-sequiter after another. It reads like I speak.

So if you have a desire to hear from me more often, then hit up: https://twitter.com/elecvp

I've done so well to try to minimize my world wide web presence, purging and deleting so many accounts and then Twitter comes along...

To be fair, I'll have to see the rest of the Best Pic nominees but I'm going to say that, while a solid film with great casting and a beautiful landscape, the only reason I see that it's in its current position is because it's a feel-good movie in a world littered with feel-bad films.

Next weekend the plan is to see Frost/Nixon but who knows.

Due to the massive amounts of snow in Seattle, Jacelyn and I had a very low key Christmas. We each had only gotten around to getting each other a couple of gifts, so our X-mas has been delayed until further notice.

Why? Because we spent too much money in Vegas during our wedding weekend. In other words, we finally tied the knot.

Friday night was drinking. Saturday was recovering from drinking and enjoying a small but fabulous dinner at Hyakumi in Caesar's Palace, and Sunday was wedding and reception activities followed by a few of us going out for a drink.

It was a great time but Jacelyn and I were ready to get home by Monday afternoon. Our flight back yesterday was smooth and quick and it's nice to back to a defrosted Seattle.

Now we're dealing with inept companies. Whenever we have the USPS hold our mail, they never seem to deliver it on the date specified to deliver it. When I called today to have the problem fixed, the person on the other line was a jackass and told me someone would call the next business day, which is Friday which means we won't get our held mail until Saturday at the earliest.

The shuttle service that brought us back home from Sea-Tac overcharged us and now no one wants to field my calls or e-mails of complaint.

And now my wife (had to throw that in there) is on the phone struggling with Dell because of the 4 power cords that have failed for our two laptops in the span of 4 months. This is not the first time we've had this problem (clearly, we have had 4 power cords which mean the first two failed and we had replaced).

So, welcome to the marriage!

And it isn't about Obama.

I'm angry at voters in California, Arizona, and Arkansas voting against homosexuals. In the case of the western states, Cali banned gay marriage and 'Zona voting for defining marriage as the union between a man and a woman. In the case of Arkansas, citizens voted for the ban of same sex couple being able to adopt.

First Arkansas--you just denied millions of foster and orphaned children the joys of a loving family.

Now to Cali and Zona--yeah, you're swell denying CIVIL RIGHTS to a group of people just because they creep you out. They merely want the boring lives of married couples.

I suppose I get a laugh (and a headache) out of religious folk talking about how horrible homosexuals getting married would be; how it would ruin the sanctity of marriage. The same religious folk who marry and divorce willy nilly; who have mistresses; who marry more than one woman;who have secret homosexual trysts at rest areas and in airport bathrooms.

It's odd that I feel this way when I've only known a handful of gay people (there's a joke to be made there) in passing but I find it strange that no one is outraged that civil rights are being violated. The same people using the bible to ward off homosexual equality are bread from the same people who used the bible to promote segregation and slavery.

When millions were chanting with cult-like enthusiasm for change, I guess that means 'Anyone but Bush' but it doesn't mean 'We're sorry for oppressing a group of citizens because we are scared of their sexuality'.

That's the last I'm saying about it. It's not worth arguing about because if you don't agree with me, then we clearly see this from two different perspectives and no amount of discussion is going to persuade you or me.

Burn After Reading/Choke/previews

The lady and I headed out to catch Burn After Reading Saturday afternoon.

She was a little put off by it as it the film unfolds like a Coen-ed out episode of Seinfeld, with the antics of George, Elaine, Cosmo, and Jerry replaced with the overacting of John Malkovich, the rubber band face of Brad Pitt, the lechery of George Clooney, and coldness of Tilda Swinson, and the tomfoolery of Francis McDormand.

I would recommend the flick, but Coen fans should realize they're seeing an updated version of Fargo or The Big Lebowski. I'm sure fans are ecstatic to read that but I'm sure a lot of folks went into the film expecting a softer touch along the lines of Intolerable Cruelty or O' Brother Where Art Thou. Burn After Reading is dark, seedy, and uncomfortably funny. I was laughing at the most inopportune times (but there's nothing new about that).

It's an odd cast but it works well. The CIA office scenes in the middle and end of the film are the funniest, so my hats off to JK Simmons and David Rasche. My only complaint is we get scant backstory on Richard Jenkins' character. They tease us with it but its scope and impact on the storyline is nigh but Burn After Reading was clearly the Coen Brothers just getting back to making uncomfortable, yet cacophonous comedy after the accolades and praise of No Country for Old Men.

As for Choke, I see it next Monday afternoon at a press screening! I'm stoked.

I'm also stoked for Milk, which we saw the preview for before Burn After Reading. It's directed by Gus Van Zant and stars Sean Penn as Harvey Milk. If you're unfamiliar with Harvey Milk, do some research.

>> My new laptop has arrived. Sadly for the [soon-to-be] Mrs., hers hasn't shipped yet. We're sure it has something to do with her having a bluetooth card included. Her and her desire to turn a laptop, a Wii-mote, and a white board into a smart board.

>> I'm gearing up for another year of Bumbershoot. For those not educated, Bumbershoot is the yearly festival that takes over Seattle Center during the three-day Labor Day weekend. I've reviewed it the past two years, so this will be my third year. Sadly, they've cut back on handing press extra tickets, so the year that friends can actually come and keep me company, they only give me one ticket per day. It's probably for the best considering I'll be doing press-only things that exclude non-press.

Bands I'm looking forward to seeing: Asylum Street Spankers (may I recommend the track "Beer" for those who want to hear the Spankers--they're similar to BR5-49), The Walkmen (to hear the new tracks live), Man Man, The Black Keys, Ravens & Chimes, The Whigs (to hear if they're decent live--their debut album is a guilty indie rock pleasure of mine), Neko Case, Lucinda Williams, Lee Perry, Stone Temple Pilots (I saw 'em in 1996--it's hard to believe it's been 12 years and while that seems so long ago, I was a just a Junior in HS), Nada Surf, Blitzen Trapper, M. Ward, Monotonix, and Dan Deacon.

No, I won't be seeing Beck or Death Cab for Cutie. I've lost my loving feeling for Beck's music--he just isn't that good these days. I don't like DCFC--not my kind of music. I like my sad bastard/sappy bastard music to sound, y'know, bastardy? I'm sure I won't end up seeing every band I want and I'm sure I'll end up discovering a few artists/bands just by happenstance. I suppose that's what multi-staged festivals are all about.

>> College football season!!! I really don't have a team to route for beyond Ball St. and Cincy (where I went to college). One's good and the other hasn't been decent in a decade. A cute story: my freshman year of college I attended U of Cincy. The football team lost their first 7 games (in the midst of a near 20 game losing streak) under my watch (the football field was underneath my dorm, so I could watch the games from my dorm room window when the game was sold out and/or I didn't feel like paying). They finished the season 2-9 but it was a horrible season.

The next year I was a transfer at Ball St. and needless to say, Ball St. was in the midst of a 20+ game losing streak. They didn't win any games that year--it wasn't until the following year that they won a game. I endured so many CFB loses that I think it soured me a bit on CFB. I still love football, but I can't invest too much into my college teams for fear of long, long losing streaks.

>> I'm stoked to see Burn After Reading. Should be solid. The same goes for Choke. Other than Fight Club and Survivor, it's the only other Chuck Palahniuk book I enjoyed when I read it. I think the film version of Choke should be stellar in no small part due to Sam Rockwell. He's an underrated actor. Watch Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and tell me you don't dig the man. I'm still hoping for the day when I can shit out the perfect screen play for Rockwell and my other acting man crush, Ron Livingston. People would watch a great indie film starring them, wouldn't they?

>> I hope you enjoyed these ramblings. It'll probably be the last I do for awhile. It's just my nature.

It's good timing in the fact that we are on the verge of buying Jacelyn a new laptop (which is where I'm writing this) because her current laptop is sloooooooooooowwwwwww. It's been slow for a long time--it's about as old as my desktop (I bought my desktop in late '02 and she bought her laptop in late '03, so both are old and outdated though we did update my PC a few years ago with more RAM and a better video card).

So we bit the bullet today and ordered two new laptops which should arrive next week. It's weird to think that two people need two computers, but we do.
1. What is your favorite song right now? Why?

I have a handful of songs I'm really digging from Aught-8 at the moment:
Richard Swift - "JLH" (...As Onasis I & II)
Lee Ranaldo - "Maelstrom from Drift" (Maelstrom from Drift)
Hayden - "When & Where" (In Field & Town)
Atlast Sound - "Recent Bedroom" (Let the Blind...)
Juana Molina - "Un Dia" (Un Dia)
The Breeders - "Istanbul" (Mountain Battles)

2. What genre of music makes you the happiest?
This is tough. I get happy and nostalgic with the sounds of mid-90s power pop (Teenage Fanclub, Weezer, The Refreshments, The Odds, Tragically Hip, et. al.) but I'm get giddy when an album combines the beauty of folk guitar with subtle drones and tempermental melodies.

3. What would you name your band and what kind of music would you play?
This is also tough because any change in musical style would likely make me change a band/project's name. Besides, when I finally do release music, I don't want anyone knowing I'm behind the projects a la Jandek. Not for mythological purposes, but for the same reasons Jandek chose to remain anonymous for 20+ years [until recently]: privacy.

4. What is your favorite lyric of all time? Why?
"Baby, baby, you sure like to fuck" - Jon Spencer

I don't think I have a favorite lyric. I'm sure I had a ton in high school (10 years ago) but I listen to less and less music that contains lyrics and most of them are stupid and nonsensical--just the way I like it--but hardly memorable. If I had to say something a bit more concrete, I'm sure it's an old Wilco or Uncle Tupelo lyric.

5. What band/artist could you never live without? Why?
I think I could live without any artist considering someone's bound to come around and do what that extinct/missing artist once did in their own way, and yes it wouldn't be the same but it'd be enjoyable on some level I'd imagine.

Mixtape via Muxtape

As part of a recent group (or sorts) that I joined, I just created a new mixtape with the site Muxtape. This particular challenge was to use only tracks that end an album. I present to you, ...how it ends.

jspicer.muxtape.com

A bit of an explanation for those who may care: Consider this a three-parter. Tracks 1-3 set the atmosphere, tracks 4-7 build to and include the climax, and tracks 8-10 re-establish the atmosphere. Of course, it's meant to be listened to however you please.

I will be doing more shit like this, so there will be some more mixes in the works as more challenges are given. This particular mix isn't friendly to those looking for something poppy but it isn't some noize/sludgy/trashy mess (minus a song or two). It may very well be one of the most cohesive mixes I've made.

Survey stolen from Dave

I like to steal--not items, just surveys. Perhaps thoughts. Sometimes ideas. Never babies.
----------

What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?
- Feed the cat and open the curtains

What was the first pop concert you went to?
- The Toadies/The Nixons. My first and last time moshing.

What was the worst thing that you did as a child?
- Steal a pack of baseball cards. I felt so guilty I took it back immediately.

What is your favourite song?
- I don't know if I have one favorite song. At the moment I love "JLH" by Richard Swift.

What is your most treasured material possession?
- My grandfather's wedding band which will be resized and turned into my wedding band. Yeah, I'm a softie--don't tell.

What is the best advice that you've ever received?
- The best advice is from Three Kings when Clooney tells Spike Jonze's character that you have to do something first, THEN you get courage.

What do you think of Bob Dylan?
- I think he's a bit full of himself but not in a pollutant way. He understands his place in musical history and accepts it for better or worse.

When did you last cry, and why?
- I don't cry. I did get teary-eyed at the end of reading Everything is Illuminated a few years back.

What characteristics do you think you've inherited from your parents?
- My mom's loudness and my dad's enjoyment of Big Red. Hopefully that's the only thing I inherited from my dad.

Are you afraid of failure?
- Who isn't, but I think I'm finally ready to fail to succeed.

What are you like when you're drunk?
- It's been years since I've been drunk but anyone close to me can tell you all about Tipsy Spicer, Incognito Spicer, and Ultra Drunk Spicer: the Destroyer of Relationships

Which actor/actress would you have play yourself in a film?
- Ron Livingston or Peter Sellers were he still alive

Pick five words that describe yourself....
- Loyal, jaded, sarcastic, loving, growing

Is there one piece of criticism that sticks in your mind?
- Being loud. I've grown quieter since high school but I do tend to get a bit loud if I have a bit of alcohol in me, but I usually catch it.

Do you believe in God?
- I have too much to say to sum it up in a nifty sentence. Let's just say my beliefs are akin to the Native American system of belief.

What is your most unpleasant characteristic?
- LOUD

What is your greatest fear?
- Cancer and poverty

What ambitions do you still have to fulfil?
- Beginning a label, getting a Masters, owning a farm

What do you never leave home without?
- Wallet

Who would you most like to meet?
- A sugar daddy

What music would you like to have played at your funeral?
- As everyone blissfully stares at my urn (or coffee can), I want "Dress Sexy At My Funeral" by Smog to blast from the speakers

When you look in the mirror, do you like what you see
- Sure. I'm not knock out handsome and everyone has days of self-doubt but I don't see a hideous monster or a terrible person staring back.

What is your favourite film.
- Drama: Good Night and Good Luck
Satirical: The Royal Tenenbaums
Comedy: The 40 Year Old Virgin
Western: The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada

If you had a million pounds (£1,000,000), what would you do with it?
- Buy a farm

What first attracts you to a person of the opposite sex?
- Eyes

What was your favourite subject at school?
- English

If you could spend the night with anyone in the world, who would you choose and why?
- Audrey Tautou

What is the most embarassing thing you've ever done?
- Too many things to speak of

Do you have anything to declare?
- "I am a golden god!"

Springtime in Seattle/Genealogy

Last weekend, we were treated to a 70 degree (F) day that couldn't have been more pleasant. Of course, my allergies were acting up so I couldn't enjoy it fully. In the midst of blind Spring optimism, I figured Seattle was due for more Spring-like weather in the coming weeks as much of the nation was blanketed in nice weather.

It turns out that last Saturday was a mirage. All last week the temperatures continued to nosedive leading into Friday afternoon where we were treated to thundersnow. You heard correctly--thundersnow in April in the Pacific NW. If I was still in Indiana, that wouldn't be such an overwhelming site; winter and spring trade places every other day during Indiana springs. But this is Seattle, and when you get a 70 degree day it has usually been a sign that more 70 degree days were just around the bend. Instead, we're having a winter renaissance.

The thundersnow didn't last that long Friday. However, Saturday afternoon as I walked to the local independent record store to partake in Record Store Day and lavish myself in a few 7" releases made especially for the day, it began to snow for the second straight day.

This is getting ridiculous. I understand the rain--it's April and Seattle, of course there's going to be rain and plenty of it. I don't understand 40 degree highs and 30 degree lows.

So how did I spend my cold weekend? Working on the family tree.

I suppose I've had a slight curiosity about my family tree since freshman year of high school, but that was 14 years ago and needless to say I wasn't prepared to rifle through stacks and stacks of books in the Genealogy room at the local library. Now, with the advent of easy-to-access internet, my interest has began to rise once more. I toyed around a bit a few weeks ago and found a bit of info but nothing that really gave me the needed jolt to go full tilt. That was until Saturday afternoon when I checked my e-mail and a friend of my mom's who worked on our family tree (well, on her side of the family) sent me what he found. He had traced one branch to Wales in the early 1500s. It was great to see and it gave me the juice to fill in as many blanks as possible. I spent nearly 8 hours working on it Saturday and a few hours yesterday.

My only complaint is on my father's side, I have nothing but his father. My mom can't remember my dad's mother's name because she had passed before they were wed) and even searches for his step-mother are coming up empty. I've gone through many, many channels without much help. I figure it's time to call up some relatives and see what I can find out.

I don't know why I'm so interested in this. I have no need to know my roots (the only thing I've discovered that I didn't know is the name of my clan so I can find my clan's tartan). If anything, I think I'm interested in it just as a record of my and my family's existence--something to pass on to future generations.

The Absolut vodka company apologized for the ad campaign amid angry calls for a boycott by U.S. consumers.

My view: those states are still a part of Mexico due to the sheer amount of illegal and legal Mexican immigrants living in those Cali, NM, AZ, and Texas (NOTE: I have nothing against illegal immigration though Lou Dobbs tells me I should. I suppose my thoughts are more complicated, but this is not the forum).

Oh no, Sweden made fun of us in Mexico! The horror...the horror!

Have we really become that pathetic? Wait, don't answer that--of course we have. I have to laugh every time says America is still a super power. A friend of mine still has the nickname Skeletor and she doesn't hate me for calling her it.

33.
Are Democrats really stupid? At least in Cali, NY, and NJ they seem to be. Why vote for Hillary? Your party has been stale since Bill's second term, so you fight for change in '06 and push fresh candidates and it pays off! You win the House and Senate.

So now, you're going to play it safe and fight for Hillary to be the Democratic Presidential Nominee? Let me tell you something: that isn't playing it safe. You might as well inaugurate John McCain post-DNC if Hillary gets the nomination.

But I figured it out: Democrats are scared of change just as much as they accuse Republicans of being scared of change. Republicans worked so hard to keep the 1950s alive and then Reagan broke all the rules, so now they want to be Reagan. Democrats are living in the past, thinking a well-known last name will deliver a Presidency. It won't. Hillary is so polarizing, even more in her own party. She won't attract the Independent vote. She won't attract the young vote. She won't attract the minority vote. Those are the three sects the party needs to take the White House.

Now, I'm not saying Obama is the answer to everyone's (or the party's) prayers but right now the Republicans fear Obama because he appeals to minorities, youth, and independents. Not to mention, if the Presidential race happened to be Obama vs. McCain, you can bet those guys would have to continue to cater to the growing number of independent and undecided voters in America, thus keeping them from racing each other to the middle and making them work hard to keep some of the promises they make in their bid to the White House.

Nothing against Hillary--I'm sure she's got a personality and some savvy in her life away from politics, but if I have to decide between McCain and Hillary--the Democrats already made my decision for me and I know many, many people that will feel the same way. They will have driven me (once more) to a third party candidate. So when they try to scapegoat third parties for ruining the election, perhaps they should look at candidates such as Gore, Kerry, and Hillary that don't appeal to anyone but the over-50 set and don't invoke civic pride into the younger set. The baby boomers have had their say and it's time the Democrats realized it before they begin to cripple their base for good.

Anonymous vs. Scientology

I think anyone who has read this journal knows that I despise the Church of Scientology. It's secretive, it's a cult, and it has gone to great lengths to keep a high profile in the public eye while being dastardly and devious under the covers and protections afforded to religious organizations.

I knew I wasn't alone with sites/groups such as Xenu.tv and Operation Clambake out and about, but now it seems that a group of infamous hackers known as Anonymous are beginning to launch their own assault against the Church of Scientology due to the the CoS' nature of censoring as much material as they can that is out and about on the internet.

Here's the message from Anonymous (and it's creepy but in a cool, Armageddon-like way):

<lj-embed id="2" />

Here's a news piece about it all:

<lj-embed id="3" />

Here's a few Tom Cruise-centric videos links and articles that are far scarier than any Anonymous video:

http://gawker.com/5002269/the-cruise-indoctrination-video-scientology-tried-to-suppress

http://gawker.com/5002216/we-are-the-way-to-happiness

A post!

The Super Bowl was much better than it had any right to be, though to be fair you have to enjoy watching Tom Brady eat turf over and over. As a Colts fan, I do.

I didn't care too much about the teams or the outcome--at first. When the Giants took the 10-7 lead, I began to believe that despite many 'pundits' stating that the Giants would win (which, according to Universal Law, usually means the underdog is screwed) that they might actually defeat the Dark Lord Patriots. When Eli channeled his Manning roots to drive the Giants down the field for the game-winning score, I jumped off the love seat, clapped until it echoed in our apartment, and tried to keep my heart from pounding out of my chest. When the game was over, I was happy not to endure talk about 19-0. Instead, we go from 'pundits' crowning the Pats as the best team of all time to them being not a great 18-1 team.

Which I agree with. I think if we sized up the best teams by dynasty, no one could convince me that the 88-90 Niners wouldn't beat the living tar out of the Patriots 7 out of 10 meetings. Those Niners teams (back-to-back champions) had explosive offensive players and explosive defensive players. Hell, as much as it hurts to say it, I think the back-to-back Cowboys SB champs from the 90s would also put a hurting on Tom Terrific and the Pats. They went 18-0 because shit broke their way for 18 games and they are veteran enough to win when that happens.

Okay, enough football chatter. The season was salvaged by the Giants win. The Pats (and ESPN for felatting them) were zapping my energy to enjoy the football season this year but last night was sweet redemption.

What else is new? Writing--lots and lots of writing. EVP is suffering a bit because I have articles to finish up for other outlets. I've been watching the debates as often as I can and following Primary/Caucus results. This is the first Presidential election (since I've been old enough to vote) that is invigorating. I made the mistake of thinking Gore and Bush were on in the same in '00 (which is why I voted for Nader just because Harry Browne wasn't running for Pres.)--not that I think my, or the other myriad of votes that went to Nader cost Gore the election; apathy from his base cost Gore and the Dems. the election. I voted Kerry in '04 because I tricked myself into believing that my Dem. vote in a state that was going to go Dem. anyway would make a difference. Not this year.

Right now my Presidential vote is up for grabs. As a 'liberal' I like McCain though I can't stand his war policies at all but I don't think I'd vote for him. I like Obama even if I don't like his health care policy. I like Hillary's health care policy but it's the only thing I like about her so she'd never get my vote.

So it's up to a third party candidate to grab my attention--and one has: Cynthia McKinney, who is a former Dem. now running as the Green Party's Presidential candidate. For those who vote on race and gender, she's Clinton and Obama put together: an African-American woman! Let's completely fuck with everyone and put her in office (since Maxine Waters will never run for President, though I guess we had Mossely-Braun in '04). Not only that, but McKinney is running on a platform that is closest to my ideals and therefore she makes the most sense for me. Of course, she probably matches a lot of Obama and Clinton supporters but since she's not a Dem. or Repub. no one knows who she is. And that's the major flaw of American politics. We're supposed to be an advanced country and yet we have only two people that can potentially become President. That's a load of shit.

Wedding!

Now that we've alerted family and most friends, it's safe for me to say that we have moved up our wedding date and locale. We're now getting married exactly one year from today in Vegas! We're not eloping or doing a drive-thru wedding, but we figure there is much more fun to be had by us and guests in Vegas, and crunching the numbers it will actually be cheaper.

But fear not--you won't be reading wedding stuff on here. I just figured those of you who give a rat's ass would be keen to know.

That is all.

I hope everyone had a good X-mas. While not my holiday of enjoyment, I do enjoy giving gifts to others. I think I did right by Jacelyn this year and in turn she did well by me.

Right now I'm currently enjoy such X-mas gifts as Sports Night: The Complete Series, Steven Colbert's I Am America (And So Can You) and--finally after a year of wondering why we don't have it--a DVD of The 40 Year-Old Virgin. Make fun of us for digging the flick--that's fine--but it's perhaps one of the best comedies for comedy's sake to be released in a long, long time.

I was telling Jacelyn that while my favorite film is probably a toss-up between The Royal Tenenbaums and Dr. Strangelove, that if I were to draft a Top 5 The 40 Year-Old Virgin would probably be in it.

I must say that I'm loving Sports Night. It's fun to see how Sorkin's main character writing hasn't changed in 10 years. I didn't watch The West Wing but my love of Sports Night and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip may make me put the series in our Netflix queue to enjoy at a later time.

Cake cookies

I just though that I'd take the time to say how much I like cake cookies. It's this time of year--beginning with Thanksgiving to be more accurate--that my workouts grow increasingly erratic and my cake cookie intake (along with other cookies, cakes, and savory foods of all shapes and sizes) grows increasingly rampant. While I may lack my 18-year old metabolism it's nice to know that 10 years later (I just divulged my age! I'm old) I still have some form of metabolism and my month long nose dive into the one thing that awakens my sweet tooth doesn't hold too many consequences. And at this rate, I won't get fat until middle age when, most likely, everyone I know will be chubby and happy.

I blame this on the Food Network. They taught me how to cook well. There should be a 12 step program for getting off of watching Paula Dean (NOTE: We'd never make anything of Paula's but she's become our favorite source of entertainment. I swear that woman is more doped up on weed and pills than Snoop and his entourage).

In other news, it's my busy time of the season and I'm writing this mainly to help me procrastinate and to avoid going downstairs and eating the last cake cookie (clearly it's on my mind)....

....too late. The cookie's history.
